in the guinness book of world records?

Jane and I have arrived in Ethiopia on Sunday. We jumped right in Monday, participating in the country’s record-breaking tree planting event - it may even be in the Guinness Book of World Records! (Closest I will ever come!). The government donated 200 trees to Ekklesia Academy, and we had the honor of being there to help staff, students, and members of the community plant those trees. You can read more about this event here.

I love this sweet picture of a father and daughter from the community planting a tree together.

Although we didn’t get to see all the kiddos as they are on winter break, it was great to see a few! (Yes, this season is called winter in Ethiopia, better known to locals as the rainy season.
