impact team itinerary

The November team is finalizing its plans and starting to pack. It is hard to believe we leave in just 15 days.

With some veteran travelers and some who never been on a trip like this before, we are looking forward to our time in Ethiopia with the children and staff. And we wanted to give you a little taste as to what we will be doing.

Friday-Saturday: We will be somewhere between the US and Africa. We will land in Addis Ababa around 7:30am on Saturday. We will be staying at the Ordinary Hero Life Center Guest House.

Sunday: Church and do everything we can to stay awake… the famous Ethiopian macchiato may help!

Monday: Travel to Sendafa to hang out with the students in the morning and staff in the afternoon.

Tuesday: Travel to Sendafa, teaching the 1st - 4th grade children about Jesus and Zaccheus

Wednesday: Travel to Sendafa to hang out with the 5th and 6th grade students. We will be discussing the account of Esther (Bold and Beautiful) with the girls and Daniel (Courageous and Obedient) with the boys. We will also include lessons on hygiene and puberty.

Thursday: Travel to Sendafa, teaching the PK and kindergarten children about Jesus and Zaccheus. A couple of ladies will be conducting first aid training to the leadership team. Then, the Ekklesia leadership team will then share the first aid training with the Ekklesia staff.

Friday: Travel to Sendafa to spend time with the staff… sharing a meal, fellowship, the love of Jesus, and encouraging them for their school year. And as always, we will conclude by saying, “Until we meet again…” because no one likes goodbyes!

Saturday: Travel to Bishoftu for an offsite time of debriefing.

Sunday: Church with the staff in Sendafa, one last macchiato, and then heading home!

Monday: Home

We cannot wait to share more details with you while we are away. Check back or sign up to receive updates as they come!
