two homes and an update

I have returned from my second home.

Funny. I never thought of Ethiopia as my second home, but a dear Ethiopian friend messaged me when I arrived in Ethiopia saying, "Welcome to your second home." And it really does feel like that. The more I build relationships, the more I feel connected with the people we work with. And they are no longer just friends... they have become family. It was so good to spend time together once again.

The trip went well. I traveled for work and had the opportunity to meet some incredible new people! We had just one day at Ekklesia, and because of the tension in Ethiopia, parents kept their children home. Although we were sad we didn't get to see all the kiddos, we had a beautiful time of prayer with the staff.

Instead of going out into the community for home visits, there were a couple of families/children who came, and we had the opportunity to spend time together. I love seeing their sweet smiles!

So this journey to my second home, although different, it was a beautiful time spent with beautiful people. I pray they know how much they are loved by us and more importantly, how much they are loved by God.
