christmas in january

December 25 marks a very important day for Christians around the world. January 7 marks that same very important day for other Christians around the world. Even though the day differs, we both share in the celebration of Jesus' birth.

This year, the Ethiopian Children's HopeChest (CHC) staff visited Ekklesia School/CarePoint and celebrated Christmas with the staff and children there . Their time was spent with the children - sharing the Christmas message, singing Christmas songs, and playing soccer (to name a few). In turn, the children entertained the CHC staff with various dramas. CHC also provided gifts and encouragement to the staff at Ekklesia.

Below are some pictures from their celebration.

During the holidays here in America, many of us reflect on how thankful we are - for our families, friends, and the many blessings which God has given.

As I look at the pictures and hear about the time spent at Ekklesia, I am thankful for the Ethiopian staff at CHC and Ekklesia and the work they do each and every day.

We are honored and blessed to walk alongside them.
