what will you tell them

I am a thinker and a processor. I used to speak everything OUT LOUD, but I am getting better, slowly, at thinking before I speak. Saves me some heartache sometimes.

There is one thing I should not wait to say - ever.

Jesus loves you. 

I was recently chatting with a dear friend. She talked about a young lady she works with who was trafficked by her own mother. For 12 years, no one asked questions. Not other family members. Not the school when she was absent for a whole year.

Most of us cannot imagine this happening, but it did. And this young lady has never been able to trust anyone in all her life. 

My friend shared with this young lady how much she loves her. She also shared that Jesus loves her even more. As that love is shared, her heart slowly opens to know the kind of love we all desire. This love - transforms lives.

As I think of my friend, I am so thankful for the mentor she has been. She loves like Jesus - and she makes sure those around her know that love. That is the kind of life I want to live.

So... what will I tell people I meet?

Maybe it will be with my words; maybe it will be with my actions. 

But I will tell them, Jesus loves you.
