two days in a nutshell

First off, I apologize this is the first post. Wifi has not been very cooperative. It is very early here, so I am hopeful the rest of the team is fast asleep and I am the only wifi consumer and will make for a successful post!

Well, the days have been full! We have had such a wonderful time with the children. The first day we toured the new facility and then hung out with the children. The sponsors scoped out and found the children they sponsor. Some have been able to visit the homes of their families to learn more about them. It can be a challenge knowing what a child's living conditions are, but we are thankful to know how we can pray for the child and his/her family.

We had our first lesson yesterday - Noah's Ark. The children enjoyed our crazy team as they acted out the animals - elephants, donkeys, monkeys, birds, and goats. The children then took their turn. What a joy to watch them act out the scene we had just presented, with the added hyenas! We then taught them a hippo song which I am unable to download at this time, but it is posted on Facebook.

The children have changed so much since our last visit a little under a year ago. There are no words to describe what it is like to walk alongside this community here in Ethiopia. We are so blessed to be a part of it and thankful to be on this journey with all of you.
