these are a few of my favorite things...

Over the years, I have had the honor of working with various organizations. I would like to highlight one of my absolute favorites - Children's HopeChest (CHC)! Over the past three years, our family has been involved with this ministry. And these are a few of my favorite things...

Number 1: The staff. Both the US staff as well as the Ethiopian staff are more than just staff - they have become family. We truly love each of them and their hearts for the work being done around the globe. As a partner and advocate, I am amazed at the access I have to the leaders and the time they share, encourage, and teach. It is truly a blessing to walk along side them in this great ministry!

Number 2: The mission. CHC looks at the poverty crisis in a very different way... making sure we are focused on helping those in need without hurting them. They carefully identify whether people are in need of instant relief or they need the opportunity to help themselves. I love their intentionality as they help us build relationships and share the good news to people all around the world.

Number 3: The body. What brings me the greatest joy on this journey is seeing the body of Christ come together! The model Children's HopeChest uses allows for everyone to be involved. Although sponsorship is an important piece, it is not the only avenue to be involved. God's gifts are being used by so many people!

  • Amazing people faithfully praying each step of the way
  • The hours of help given by the CHC staff as we prepare for our trips
  • A college student sponsoring two children while working and going to school full time
  • The individuals who give encouragement and love to their sponsored child(ren)
  • Donations to help us start our non profit
  • Donations to our non profit for CarePoint needs
  • People who volunteer to travel with us and and help plan our trip
  • Donations of time and talents - preparing crafts and picking out gifts for the CarePoint
  • Sister Almaz and her staff - starting and maintaining Ekklesia school
  • All the Ethiopian leaders who provide such care for us while we are in their country

The list goes on and on - and we are overwhelmed with gratitude!

We would love to have you join this on the journey! To see how you can get involved, visit the "Get Involved" button or leave us a message below.
